Cost Sheet
Pricing a job: scopes, rates, measurements, margin and revisions.
Updated
The Cost Sheet is where a job gets its price. It is the first tab of the job's Estimate, and it is built for the estimator pricing a facade or cladding package for a builder — on a computer, so every guide here is for the desktop. Each part of the work is a scope with its own cost codes, and each row carries a quantity and a rate for labour, material, subbie or hire. Start a scope from one of your saved templates, name a measurement once and build quantities on it, then set preliminaries and margin across the whole estimate in one step. Every change saves by itself, and Undo takes it back. When the builder comes back with changes, start a new revision: the price you already sent stays as it was, quantities and all. The guides below take each of those in turn, click by click.
