For civil subcontractors
Job software for civil subbies.
Earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete civil. Price it, run it and claim it in one system, not a spreadsheet beside the software.
Updated
Sound familiar?
You've got the software. And the spreadsheet beside it.
Most subbies run an Excel template alongside their software to cover the gap. Subino is built for subbies, so there's no spreadsheet on the side.
The rates live in a workbook
Labour, material, subbie and hire rates sit in an Excel template that only one person really understands, and every tender starts by copying last month's file.
The budget is a second spreadsheet
Once the job is won, someone retypes the estimate into a cost tracker, so the price and the budget drift apart from the first variation.
The claim is a third
Percent complete, approved variations and retention are worked out by hand each month, then typed into whatever the builder uses.
One system
What civil subbies get
From the tender to the last claim. Enter it once.
Price by scope, on your own cost codes
Labour, material, subbie and hire rates with waste, preliminaries and markup applied across the lot, and formulas in the quantity cells.
Win it, and the estimate is the budget
No retyping. Committed, actual and forecast cost sit against the same cost codes you priced on.
RFQs and purchase orders
Send the RFQ, drop the supplier's quote on it and raise the order, all against the job and the cost code.
Progress claims with retention
Claim by percent complete against the priced scopes, with retention as a percentage and a cap, carried forward claim to claim.
Variations, priced and approved by link
Priced off the job's own rates and sent to the builder as a link. Approved variations flow into the next claim on their own line.
Crew hours against the scope
The crew clock on to a job and a scope from their phone. The foreman signs off the week, and the hours land on the scope they were spent on.
The site diary
One log per job per day: who was on, weather, delays and photos from the phone.
Questions
Straight answers
Does Subino track plant hours and day-works dockets?
Not yet, and we'd rather say so. Crew hours go through the time clock against the scope, the site diary records who was on, delays and photos, and plant hire is a rate line on the cost sheet. Hours per machine and dockets signed by the builder's supervisor are not built. If that's how you get paid, tell us how you run it today.
Can I claim against the builder's schedule?
Yes. You claim by percent complete against the scopes you priced, with the original contract sum, approved variations and contract sum to date shown the way a builder expects. Each claim's schedule of values is frozen when you claim.
Is it built for head contractors?
No. Subino is built for the subbie's side of the job: your price, your budget, your crew and your claims. The builder gets a link to open, approve or certify. They don't need a login.
